Le Soleil quickly had become one of my favorites in the Neighborhood. The food was unlike anything I've tasted and the service was also amazing. Very excited to come back and try more things.

Omg, I had the best meal i've had all year. I feel like if I had known how good this place was - I would have been a regular the past 20 years. We got the crab. Do it! I'm at a loss for words. Also, they had the best server I've ever had. She's amazing.

Ordered take out here last Friday with the team at work! We were craving garlic noodles and the place that we wanted to order from does not deliver this far. So, we found Le Soleil, a restaurant that has plenty of Vietnamese flavors from imperial rolls, pho, garlic noodles, seafood, claypots, salads & crepes. I chose the garlic noodles with five spice chicken which consists of egg noodles, garlic and scallions. Chicken was plentiful & flavorful! I prefer my noodles a bit more garlicy and tossed better. The noodles here was more clumpy. I also ordered the imperial rolls which consists of pork, mushrooms, and carrots with a side of thin rice noodles. I would come back to either dine in or take out!

Nothing about this place would immediately draw your attention--it's an unassuming storefront in the Richmond with a relatively small, one room seating area. But the modest exterior is hiding some pretty bomb food. Shaken beef: The beef was so tender that our 2 year old who refuses to chew meat devoured it. The beef to onion ratio was a little heavy on the onions though. Lotus root salad: Not something I would've normally thought to order but it was highly recommended and lived up to the hype. The nuoc mam dressing was so good! Another thing our toddler wouldn't normally eat but asked "I need more please" of. And last but def the best--curry crab. Definitely get the garlic bread, which was good enough by itself, but amazing to soak up all the delicious curry. A few other things we ordered that weren't as noteworthy: tofu and eggplant, garlic noodles (both ok but nothing to write home about), and duck fried rice (kinda overly greasy and the duck was more gamey than usual).

Came with 3 friends for lunch. Everything was delicious! We ordered the Imperial rolls, clay pot with rice, garlic noodles with beef, and traditional phò. Good service. Street parking. Nice ambience. We've been here before and would recommend this place!

One of the few weekday lunch options in the entire Richmond District, and an absolute delight. The modern Vietnamese food was flavorful and packed a lot of savory punch. Portions were plentiful, great for sharing. The staff was super friendly and talked us through the menu items. Decor is modern and black is the dominant color which is pretty chic. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes.

I had the soup with calamari and shrimp. It was amazing. My friend had the pho and loved it and ate it super fast. Great staff, refilled my water glass a few times. I would go back for sure!! Impressive. Hot tip, sit by the window and you can watch people walk by.

Every dish we had here was either solid or fantastic! I wasn't sure from the name what kind of food they have here, but it's basically a taste of bold flavors from various Asian cuisines (Vietnamese, Malaysian, Thai, Hong Kong, etc). Here are my ratings of every dish we tried: Lollipop chicken: B Mushroom and tofu crepe: B Tofu claypot: B- Vegetable fried rice: B- Claypot rice: A Curried short ribs: A+ Beef stew: B+ Tiger prawns: B Claypot rice was great with the Chinese sausage and crispy bottom of the pot rice. Haven't been to Hong Kong before but it looks like how they make it in there. Curried short rib is fantastic, the beef is so tender and the curry compliments it so well. It's more of a Thai style curry soup.

Quiet, clean, yummy lunch spot that hits heavy with Southeast Asian flavors. The lotus root salad was a combo between papaya/grilled minced beef and young lotus roots that were thinly shaved. It was super light and refreshing as if you could eat the whole thing yourself and be full but not bloated. The squid ink in the fried rice gave it a boost of umami coupled with the generous scoop of fish roe. Love the bits of toasted rice on the edges that gave it a surprise crunch with every bite. Service was impeccable. The waiter changed our plates in between the salad and the entree so that we had fresh plates and utensils. He was also super attentive and refilled the water quite a bit. Bathrooms were clean too. Wait was non-existent for afternoon on a Saturday. Overall a p cool place with unique dishes worth trying.
